ON MY VERANDAH

Prefer in a chawl,
rather than a flat.
Living last twenty years,
in conditions like that.

Quarrels for little.
For big things they fight.
Tolerance in Indian culture,
makes them unite.

Dispute in children,
on who first will bat.
Old women idle,
on goes their chat.

Even if you want,
cannot hide things.
News spread like fire
but no intercom rings.

Festival come and goes.
Celebrate we all.
Like leaves in autumn,
besides the tree fall.
